I don't know about you but the increase of 0.25% in the interest rates by the MPC has been pushed as bad news full stop.

It's been rather overlooked in many quarters that it is beneficial to those of us who save.

I know at present about 75% are more concerned with debt aspects rather than savings.

The culture of spend now repent at leisure now are starting to feel the pinch - and it ain't Jack Frost.

Reports have neglected to mention those of us who save will see benefits for our money.

Its especially important for pensioners who's savings get them through the Winter months for their energy bills.

The extra bit of money from their savings this year may be more important than ever with so many increases of late to our energy bills and council tax.

This could be one time that silver saver's are smiling.

I know I am smiling that my savings are going to be doing even better for me over the coming months.
