Just a quick comment about something that happened the other week which for some strange reason I find to be rather amusing. Don't ask why I am just strange! I thought it was a typical example of saving some simple money.

Having shopped with my fiance at ASDA for our weekly shop we decided to get some bottled water. My fiance decided it might be a good idea for her to take water to work in the form of a small bottle but buy big bottles to keep topping it up, potentially saving money. It would save on spending say £3.00 for about 8 fruit type drinks which run out quickly.

We proceeded to the aisle with the water bottles to discover that a 1 x 2 L bottle of water was going to set us back a whopping £1.29 (off the top of my head), to which we thought was a bit steep!

We thought that the idea may not be viable anymore.

A few days later we happened to be out with family who suggested a stop off to ALDI after we told them the price of the water to find out if they do it. The next day we thought we would go to ALDI to get some fruit. From time to time in the past we have realised its significantly less expensive that high street names such as TESCO, ASDA, SAINSBURYS to name a few.

We found the bottled water! They had some... great! Even better once we found out the price of it! We got a whopping 4 x 2 L bottles of water. Yes that is 4!

The price you ask? Well that was even better! £0.99 which is even cheaper than that of one bottle of water from ASDA!

Yes some of you will be saying, 'you pay for what you get'. Well how can that one be argued this time? Water is water it does not really change. It tastes just as good as water can. In fact we could not tell any difference and even the packaging, for once of the water from ALDI looked better!

This is one of the many proofs out there that you can in fact save lots of money by shopping about at many different stores. Yes this may be time consuming but even if you do it with just a few stores, the savings over the course of a month will be huge and even better over a year! Just think how fast you would go through that one bottle from ASDA compared to the 4 you get at ALDI and your even saving money!

What better way to cool down while the weather is so hot this summer by sipping away on water which tastes even better because you saved so much!
